Updating my blog roll soon- we are stronger together
Hello All! I will be updating my blog roll soon. We are stronger together. Let me know if you'd like your blog to be added (or deleted).
Reading about other weight maintainers has been very helpful this year. Asking questions, trying things out, great topics.
It's been very helpful to me to see the different types of maintainers out there (see my post about it here).
It's a good thing that there is a large enough base of blogger maintainers. It was easier for me to look at a wide variety of practices so I could build my own best practice.
We are stronger together. There's a lot of overlap between the different groups of maintainers. Thanks for a great year everyone!

I would like to stay please:) And I'll be looking to your blog roll for some new reading! Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHi Leigh- you were on the blog roll, now I've added you to the maintenance page, too. :) Yes, more posts. I'm more of a weekend or late week poster. I think there will always be content!
DeleteI cannot wait to be considered a "maintenance" blog!
ReplyDeleteLucy, your time will come!! I added you to my regular blog roll. I just remembered I have a maintainers page and a blog roll.....
DeleteHow much more do you have to go?
It is so positive to have a maintenance blog. So many people lose weight and start a blog but fall my the wayside. I love that some of us succeed AND maintain, after all - that really is the most important part and people need to know that it is possible.
ReplyDeleteLynda- you are /were already on the blog roll. I moved it up under the very long disclaimer. The list should be more visible now. You are so right- it is so important for people to know that it is possible.
DeleteI'd be honored...if you think they can handle me. ;)
ReplyDeleteNorma, you are/ were already on the list. Moving it up. I learn a lot from you, and your followers. Not always my style, but you are very real. You remind me a lot of my first trainer on night shift at the hospital.
DeleteShe must have been, like, the coolest person EVER. ;) Thx Karen. I learn a lot from your blog, too, and I admire your strategies!
DeleteI'd love to be on your blogroll as a maintainer. It is fun to find new folks to connect with and I usually find new favorites through current favorites!!
ReplyDeleteYou are/were already on the list, Sharon. :) It's good to connect. Moving the list up a bit.
DeleteI love being there. :)
ReplyDeleteRae Rae- you are on the list! (you were, anyway... I moved the blog roll up a bit)
DeleteWell, I haven't been blogging as much lately, but I need to! It helps keep me on track. I'd love to be included as I continue to work on my first year of maintenance. I learn so much from you and the others on your blogroll.
ReplyDeleteI added you to my blog roll and my maintainer list, Tena. Glad to have you.... :)
DeleteI see my blog listed on the right here so I'm pretty sure I'm on your list. Thanks for your encouragement and for your thoughtful blog. :)
ReplyDeleteCaron, I added you to my maintainers page.... whooot, whoot. :) Thank you for blogging.
DeleteWe are strong together. You are 100% right. You never know who is having a crappy day that visits your blog and then they are totally turned around. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mrs Swan. That is very kind!
DeleteI started looking for maintenance blogs when I was about a year out from my first maintenance level (it took me two years to loose my first 60 pounds, I held there for two years and then lost my last 20 pounds the next year and now have been at that level for 3+ years, it is never easy to summarize that all into a nice round number). Maintenance blogs were nearly nil at that time, when I was in weight loss, looking toward maintenance. (There were just a few who have actually gone on to regain and/or disappear.) A lot of the now maintenance people at various levels of holding/loosing again, were in weight loss when I was. (I feel like an old timer.) I love that there are actually enough maintenance people now for there to BE maintenance blog rolls.
ReplyDeleteVickie- I am soooo glad there are more maintainers. Glad you are posting.
DeleteI am definitely looking for some new blogs to read. I can't wait to see your list and see who I can add to mine! :)
ReplyDeleteAdded you, too Lynn :)
DeleteAdd me!!!
ReplyDeleteAdded you, Exceptionally brash... :)
DeleteThank you for all you are doing to spread the maintenance message!
ReplyDeleteYou paved the way, Diane! :)
